Nice read. I don’t know about faking it but personally I copy things… or would I say I get ‘inspired’ by what other people have done.

I see something, I get an idea for a use case, I adapt it and implement. That’s pretty much my life and I hope I can do that better. The way I see it, I can either spend time figuring stuff out by myself or I can look at someone that has already figured it out, learn from him and try to see if that works.

The important question to ask is: ‘does it work?’. No matter how original an idea is, if it doesn’t achieve the goal it set to achieve, then it’s worthless. The source is less important than the result.

Does that make me fake? No, because I adapt the idea to get the best out of it for me. That’s where my originality comes in; In the adaptation.
