A Bill To Hope.

The Decision!

Head coach Sean McDermott is currently placed in one of poorest situations in the NFL. Coaching a team that seems to lose more and more relevance as the season’s pass, lack of offensive weapons, and a swiss cheese defense. It’s understandable why their seems to be universal agreement that the Bills will be one of the league’s worst teams.

Coach McDermott also has one of the worst quarterback situations. The two players that he has competing for the most important position in sports happens to be Nathan Peterman, a fifth-round draft pick from the 2017 draft. Made famous for what sounds like a horrible natural catastrophe, ’17 disaster. Warning the footage in the link provided should not be shown to any real Bills fans.

Josh Allen, the alternative, was drafted in the 2018 draft 8th overall. He shares an outrageous amount of qualities to freshly released former first-rounder Paxton J. Lynch. Both when drafted were considered “projects.” Both are tall, struggle working in pro offenses, and are illiterate when it comes to reading an NFL defense. However, Lynch has yet to have a series of old racist tweets leak out. Josh Allen’s series of terrible tweets show that he not only has a lot to learn to avoid the same fate that Lynch suffered on the field, but he is even further away from ever becoming the face of any NFL Franchise.

After Nathan Peterman had a 33 out of 41, with 3 touchdowns and 1 interception in the preseason the extremely and much-anticipated decision had to happen. The decision of who would lead the Bills to the 1st overall pick of the 2019 draft was made:

For Peterman, winning the starting job is the NFL equivalent of one homeless person betting out another homeless person in a fight for a garbage ham sandwich. Yes, he technically won the job. But how long until that rotten ham sandwich causes him to get the runs? The NFL has a very reparative history of rookie quarterbacks starting out on the bench on a god-awful team, until not long after with mounting losses and demanding fans, screaming to see the highly rated prospect. It’s that type of pressure that can ruin careers for everyone involved. Starting a mentally unprepared rookie quarterback is the type of terrible decision that leads franchises into blossoming into an organization like the Bills. This will be the teams 11th different opening season quarterback since 1997. Even though Peterman had the lowest Total QBR and interception percentage last season.

The Bills are going to have a paper bag over the face type season. But, the glass can be half full here. This team is more than likely to get a very high draft pick after the season concludes. Stockpiling young assets on the road to rebuilding looks like the best and only direction for this team and fanbase to look forward to for the next couple of years.

Painful for the fans of this team. However, if you pay your bill now for a terrible football team for the oncoming seasons ahead, perhaps you’ll get a product actually worth the price of an NFL seat of admission. 🔹
