Your comment kind of brings up the point of employer’s possibly then allowing unlimited time off to the “deserving”. A vacation with someone’s kids will always be a noble, respectful way to take a ton of time off, but if someone wanted the same time off to go to Coachella, backpack central america, or just sit at home and relax, I can’t imagine many employers allowing that time off.
