Simplifying Mobile Airline Seat Map using UX
muditha batagoda

What research with users of seat maps did you do? You don’t mention speaking to anyone even though you say you have to ‘ux the seat map’ but don’t go on to describe any user research or insights.

Who are the users of seat maps? I’ve booked alot online. Living in london, most of my journeys are in europe, so I travel low cost with the likes of Easyjet and Ryan air. With those airlines you need to pay to change your seat — so I don’t even engage with the seat map — just see where the airline has placed me and click through to the next action.

My context of use is mostly mobile short travel destinations. For long haul however, I’d be more inclined to book via laptop as i’d find it easier to research best flight prices etc and switch between tabs.
