Amby — 3 Months
Amber is SO CUTE.
She’s my niece, and she was born in October of 2016.
She’s bright, alert, responsive, and oh-so-talkative just like her daddy! Her huge gummy baby smiles make my whole day every single time.
Just look at that face!
One other thing about Amber is that she is SO strong. Abs of steel and the willpower to go along with it. This little pumpkin knows exactly what she wants and expects it when she wants it. And let’s be real…with her face, it’s impossible to say no.
Good thing you can’t spoil a newborn ;-)
Amber’s momma and I have a pretty cool story. We got engaged to our husbands (who are brothers) within a month of each other. We were bridesmaids in each other’s weddings, and daydreamed about babies together.
New Years Eve 2015 we were standing on the landing outside their apartment (which was in the same complex as ours!) and laughing that our only New Year’s resolutions were to have babies with our husbands.
LITTLE DID WE KNOW Raquel and Aaron became pregnant with Amber that month!
On February 12, 2016, Raquel came over and joked she might be pregnant. So of course off to the store we went to get a test (because let’s be real, I’m the one who couldn’t wait another moment). Two lines appeared and there was baby Amber, tiny and precious and 5 weeks in her mama’s tummy.
These past three months of having Amby on this earth have been amazing. She struggled with colic a lot but thankfully those days are coming to an end and she is becoming more and more of a smiley, happy baby with each passing day.
So here’s to Amber! The first grandbaby on both sides of Aaron and Raquel’s family. A precious little princess who already giggles and favors her jingly owl. She is sweet, she is strong, she is beautiful. I’m such a lucky auntie.
