The Future of Electric Cars is Finally Here
With the recent news about the Chevy Volt EV, the Tesla Model 3, and BMW’s I3, it seems that the race toward the best electric car has begun.
The race towards the most available car has already been won, with Chevy’s EV hitting the streets later this year. The car has an astounding 238 mile range, which hits Tesla Model 3’s projected range.
There seems to be a lot floating around about Tesla loosing out, but I would disagree; this race is exactly what Tesla wants. Tesla has been known for making patents public, and encouraging competition within the electric car market. They simply want gas cars off the road, they don’t want a monopoly.
Think of the Chevy bolt as any other Chevy, and Tesla as the BMW or Mercedes Benz of the electric vehicle world. They advertise themselves as premium vehicles. The Bolt EV is the start of the affordable car in a new era. We are finally shifting over to the side of zero-emission, all-electric vehicles. These vehicles will be safer, faster, and smarter, all while helping the planet. It is a race that ends in societal benefits, no matte who wins.
