My Big Fat (Boring) Greek Wedding.

Well. I’m not a big fan of romcoms so maube it’s a reason why watching this film was the most tedious experience in the last time.

First at all, let’s talk about the main idea. Very conservative greek family vs Daughter who wants to marry American man. Great start. But attempts to show ethnic differences across showing everybody worse then they should be for comedy effect… MMM, no. For example, one of the main characteristic of the family’s head — he adores ‘Windox’. Hm, really?

And main actors… AAActress is pretty good and this is director’s fault that you can’t belive her story. (lol, sorry, we haven’t time to show why she want to learn, why she loves this man… YYYeah, we have no time in the 1 hour 30 minutes film). And haha, her man. He looks like John Travolta in 2D without anything we love Travolta for.

There was only one good joke in the whole movie:

*During wedding*

— How can we understand what they say?

— I don’t know. It’s all Greek to me!

In the end, I understand that we watched it for ‘Dearest and nearest’ vocabulary but it’s still 3/10. 3 for the whole family’s scenes. It was pretty fine.
