Nico luv I feel somewhat reluctant to make a comment; my approach to writing seems to go against all your rules I guess that is why no-one has ever heard of me. I suspect most publishers have me on their ‘do not reply’ list. I feel like a mosquito that has made it into someone’s bedroom.
Let me explain. I write in the first person. For starters I realise that is not an ‘anging offence. My stories are for schoolgirls and average 1200 words and I write in the vernacular. Spellcheck on WORD haemorrhages whenever it detects my dialogue. Most times I have no idea what I am going to write. I will write one line of text and stare at it for quite a while then I have an inspiration and go and make a cup of coffee.
That line of text can sit there for a number of days. Then suddenly all becomes abundantly clear and I will add another line. Meanwhile WORD is still agonizing over the word ‘anyways’ in that sentence for days now. I don’t want ‘ANYWAY’ I want ‘ANYWAYS’ because that’s the word Jessica uses.
I have been seriously thinking of taking up embroidery.
Yours truly Miss Bridgette.
