I agree with many of your purse needs and standards. Shouldn’t be so heavy that when you fill it, it will break you. Some compartments on the outside. Should close with a zipper.
There is this though- you find a perfect purse and want it to be THE PURSE of your life. What happens when you find wear, dirt, or you set it in something sticky? You stash a bottle of water inside and it leaks causing the cosmetic bag’s adorable fabric to bleed onto the lining? What if the strap breaks? You are again at square one unless you bought two originally.
I enjoy shopping for a new purse. I go through phases. Right now I’m into Fossil bags in the Key Per line. They are made of some sort of incredible plastic/vinyl fabric that is colorful and visually exciting. They are lined with a contrasting print- sometimes two contrasting prints. The interior pockets zip and there is a little pocket inside that doesn’t zip for my cell phone. I don’t want to mess with a zipper when I get a call.
The strap is made of strong, seemingly indestructible cotton webbing. These purses zip!
I also have a wallet in the same line. It is a wonderful wallet. It zips too!
I buy a new purse once a year. I spend around 60.00. That is my purse budget. I still have a closet full of old purses, what for? I don’t know, maybe I will use them again.
Not bloody likely!
