Using Canva to create an infographic is a simple procedure, and Canva offers a user-friendly platform with a variety of design components and templates to make the job simpler.

Using Canva, follow these simple steps to create an infographic:

Step 1: SignIn with Canva

If you still need an account on Canva, you can easily create one for free by visiting their website at https://www.canva.com/ and signing up.

Step 2: Starting A New Design

You will arrive at your Canva dashboard once you have signed in. Click the “Create a design” button in the top-right corner of the screen to start a new infographic.

Step 3: Select A Custom Size

Infographic sizes range widely. A pre-made infographic template is an option, or we may create a design that is specially scaled. Click the “Custom dimensions” button and input the desired measurements (for example, 800 x 2000 pixels) to create a custom-sized infographic. Where you intend to use the infographic will determine this.

Step 4: Exploring Templates

There are many different infographic templates available on Canva. A template can be used as-is or changed to suit your needs. Enter “infographic” in the search bar to view the available templates, then click through. To choose a template, click on it.

Step 5: Edit The Template

After selecting a template, you will be directed to the Canva editor. Here, you can alter the template to suit your needs in terms of content and design.

  1. Edit Text: Text elements in the template can be edited by clicking on them. The options for text editing that appear let you change the font, size, color, and alignment.
  2. Element addition or replacement: By selecting the “Elements” option from the left sidebar, you can add additional elements like shapes, icons, photos, and charts. Select the element you want to replace or remove, then hit the delete key or click the trash can symbol.
  3. Change colors and backgrounds: Change backgrounds and colors by clicking on any element to do so, including the background. You can enter custom colors or choose from the Canvas color palette.
  4. Upload Images: Drag and drop photos into the design after selecting the “Uploads” button in the left sidebar to add your own graphics or images.

Step 6: Align and Arrange The Elements

Make sure your elements are arranged in a way that looks good. To help you precisely align elements, Canva offers alignment and spacing tools.

Step 7: Add Charts and Graphs (Optional)

You can add charts and graphs to your infographic in Canva by clicking on the “Elements” tab, selecting “Charts,” and selecting the appropriate chart type. After that, enter your data and edit the chart.

Step 8: Save and Download

Once you’re satisfied with your infographic, When you are finished, click the “File” option in the top left corner and choose “Save.” After naming your project, click “Save.” Click the download button, which is typically located in the top-right corner, and then choose the desired format (such as PNG, JPG, or PDF) to download the infographic. You can download a file that Canva creates for you.

Step 9: Optionally, share or print

Using Canva's sharing features, you can either print your infographic for offline use or share it online.
