Paul-Louis Pröve you are right, it is magical what Raquel presents there, and I believe that is the result of extreme focus on practical solutions, which I see missing in a lot of research, especially in self driving car area.

The 3D mapping of Toronto area is an impressive undertaking just by itself.

I forgot to mention above, but Raquel was core member of the team that created the most important and used self driving car computer vision datasets and benchmark, KITTI.
