We live in a time where everyone has a platform to share their opinions and observations. It is easier than ever for average citizens with no training in ethics or fact-checking to blend in with legitimate journalists.

We are seeing some positive outcomes from this, like unique voices and perspectives in reporting, but we are also seeing negative effects, like the rampant spread of misinformation.
