I also hate being interrupted but I see what you don’t see: that communication with people is not only about exchanging data. If subject engages any emotions, for most people is better to call or meet in person. It’s because most people know how to express their emotions and have at least basic empathy that makes them able to read others emotions, but at the same time most people are not good writers so they are unable to precisely communicate via email when it comes to anything more sophisticated than exchanging status updates. You totally undervalue so-called human factor. But it’s understandable given the structure of the text, that is closer to control flow diagram than anything written by a human.
