Could acting on this be possible considering the current political environment? A “bean counting” mentality with decisions slanting towards the narrow focus in favor of concentrated wealth would seem to blot out consideration of all the other stakeholders here — household water users, small business, tourism, and fisheries etc. How much power do those “30 million” freshwater users wield in a state where Flint managed to poison its residents just to save a few dollars whereas the pipeline represents a huge force of concentrated wealth/power already readying troops against the common interest of other stakeholders where their interests are fractured.
