I read the book and can’t say I loved it but it did make me think about a subject that doesn’t make it into our main stream thoughts often. I hear the criticism of the movie and the book but can’t it be used to bring a difficult subject to the forefront for a discussion. Sometime we need to take what we can get to help stimulate conversion. Just because you, and I for that matter, didn’t like the story doesn’t mean it deserves a boycott. It made me think and have an opinion about an important subject that I have not spent much time really thinking about. To me, my book experience was a net positive even though I didn’t “like” the book. Can the movie not have a similar effect for a much larger audience?
