I have become aware of the phenomenon known as the “deep state” in the modern era, and I have been reflecting on its historical antecedents. The one I find most illuminating, especially with regard to the collusion of capitalism, militarism and the nation state, is the British East India Company.

Your thesis resonates, and your delineation of its operations is precise and detailed. I would like to know some of your sources.

My area of interest and expertise is human collective enterprise. In particular, I’m concerned with how personal and interpersonal psychology, culture and systems interact. I observe that accretions of destructive and exploitative power can occur on any scale without a conspiracy in any formal sense, but rather through a kind of organic process of accommodation and defensive exclusion.

I do share your point of view that the solution is for more people to wake up. I see that happening.
