270 words on why The Rock made me angry at WrestleMania
At WrestleMania 32, which took place on April 3rd, 2016, there was a segment where The Rock made fun of the Wyatt Family, beat up one member of the Wyatt Family, and then, finally, beat up the rest of the Wyatt Family with the help of his friend John. A lot of people liked it, but I didn’t! Here is why.
The Rock was very popular as a wrestler back in the late 90s and early 2000s. Nowadays, he is still very popular, but more as an actor and all-around kingpin of entertainment. He still, though, graces wrestling fans with his presence every once in a while, where he mostly serves to remind us that wrestling was only good in the past, and that fans are stupid to watch weekly wrestling shows, because The Rock can and will show up any time he wants and beat the living crap out of whichever wrestler he wants to.
Anyway, The Rock made fun of the Wyatts for not being perfect human beings like him, John Cena and Roman Reigns are. He then proved they were inferior by beating one of them in a match in 6 seconds. The Wyatts, of course, are often shown on weekly WWE programming, such as Raw and Smackdown. The Rock usually isn’t!
In closing: The Rock made me angry because he makes being a wrestling fan frustrating, as getting invested in characters becomes worthless when they can be destroyed by any cameo-making old fella at any time. Being a wrestling fan is already embarrassing, and I think it is not in the WWE’s best interest to make it frustrating, too.
