Thanks for writing this, I am bookmarking it for sending out to startups that I work with.

I have attended awesome all hands meeting in a large company (Intuit), however the criticality of well run all hands is grossly under appreciated in startups. Thus for me the money line was “ All-Hands as soon as your company or group stops fitting into a single room”. Quite counter intuitively a startup needs more structure as compared to large organizations. You have captured the why, what and how of it very nicely.
