The Bitbond security token is structured as a debt security, and Bafin regulates investors’ rights making sure this token meets stringent German financial oversight as a bond asset vehicle. Its STO began in March and ends July 8, 2019.

Bitbond Token (BB1) has a value of one Euro and can be bought by interested investors during the STO. After the STO ends the BB1 token will trade on cryptocurrency exchanges as there are no roadblocks or regulatory requirements to prevent it from doing so. The tokens enable investors to participate in the success of the blockchain company as it continue to grow and in the loans brokered by Bitbond.

The capital raised from the STO by investors buying BB1 will be used in its main business of lending to small businesses. And as a result the company will continue to develop its global lending platform.

The lending platform continues to innovate it payment and credit scoring systems, scaling and advancing its methods to achieve a global presence.

For example, in early March 2019 Bitbond partnered with solarisBank. Bitbond currently accepts bank account wires, Stellar Lumens, Bitcoin and Ether as a means of payment for the tokenized bond offering. To process bank transfers efficiently and track fiat transactions, Bitbond’s solarisBank partnering will provide Bitbond STO investors with individual IBAN numbers to deposit their investment. This will enable Bitbond to seamlessly allocate payments to investors.

And evidence of Bitbond’s continued global growth is seen in another recent partnership with African payment services provider BitPesa. The partnering provides access to financing for small and medium business enterprises (SMEs) in Africa. Bitbond joins fixed-income investors with small business owners who need loans. Low fee global cross-border lending is facilitated using the bitcoin blockchain for payment processing.
BitPesa SME borrowers who receive funding from Bitbond after approval can transact and be paid directly to a mobile money account or bank account. BitPesa pays in the local currency within minutes. The SME loan system between Bitbond and BitPesa is active in Kenya, Nigeria, Uganda and Tanzania.

The ongoing innovation and growth with an already proven use case (and predicted 25 million dollars in Bitbond brokered loans estimated for 2020) all point to a successful STO and future for this company.

Investors looking for a stable dividend should consider adding Bitbond to their holding for passive income and low risk to invested capital. All token holders will receive fixed quarterly coupon payments of 1% (4% p. a.), as well as a variable annual coupon. The Bitbond token has a maturity period of ten years, so that Bitbond is legally committed to buying back the BB1 tokens at its original value of €1 after ten years.

Bitbond is a strong buy for those seeking security when investing larger mounts s a way to generate stable passive income as Bitbond’s debt instrument is regulated by German financial authority Bafin.
