“Why are we here?”

It seems like it was just yesterday that I and Akif joined IEEE. Over the years we've made a lot of memories with the IEEE family. IEEE can be an amazing experience if we know why we’re here.

Here’s a few suggestions:

We’re here for us

Yes, I know that’s why most of use signed up. A great certificate and the promise of a position tomorrow. But IEEE offers so much. The skills you’re gonna learn here will prove invaluable in the days to come. Every wonder how you mom manages so much, you’re gonna get a hint. All nighters? You bet, IEEE Extreme is just around the corner. By the time we’re done with you, you’ll be accountants, advertisers, organizers and most importantly, Leaders.

We’re here for each other

In the years to come you guys will spend quite a lot of time together. The decor team burning the Saturdays and advertisement team trading emails till late at night. And before you know it You will become friends. or Enemies but let’s hope for the best(Joke). These friendships will be worth more than any formal accolade we could give. After all Love beats all.

We’re here for others

In just the time I've been here, hundreds of students have learnt Photoshop, Web Design even Robotics all because of IEEE. So yes, we’re here for others. People outside IEEE. We organize retreats that bound the leaving Seniors with Arriving freshies. We organize workshops so that new students shall not repeat mistakes old ones did. We organize parties that are the lif of SEECS. WE MAKE THIS HOME away from home.

So Let’s make a deal. You give us all that you’ve got. All creativity, your dedication and your Humour. In return, I’ll give you memories woth cherishing for the rest of your lives.
