From November 2nd to 3rd, Hong Kong FinTech Week 2023’s main conference unfolded with great success in Hong Kong. MUA, as the metaverse event organizer for HKFTW 2023, ingeniously integrated local cultural elements with Fintech concepts, creating a distinctive metaverse experience on the Avalanche C-Chain. The HKFTW 2023 metaverse garnered significant attention from over 880,000 individuals and achieved a 26.9% conversion rate from exposure, with participants averaging over 55.4 minutes in the metaverse. Moreover, the HKFTW2023 metaverse was lauded by Hong Kong’s Chief Executive, John Lee Ka-chiu, during his visit to the HKFTW 2023 main conference along with the heads of the Monetary Authority and the Treasury, remarked, “The metaverse is an excellent way for the general public to experience fintech, and this creation is rich with Hong Kong’s distinctive character.”

Additionally, MUA launched the MUA Boarding Pass freemint, on August 15th, 2023. This initiative quickly amassed over 10,000 holders during the first 24 hours, and has since grown to over 70,000 holders, proudly securing its position as the top mint on BSC.

A Dazzling Metaverse Experience at HKFTW 2023

Meanwhile, The HKFTW2023 metaverse onboarded a host of impressive Web3 projects such as 852web3, Biconomy, Enclave, Hamsafinance, MapProtocol, Moongate, OKLink, QuestN, RepublicCrypto, Uptn, Ultiverse, Venly, Yuliverse, and others. MUA set up AI NPCs within the metaverse for these distinguished partners, allowing players to engage freely, understand the represented projects, and gain a unique Fintech experience.

The design of the HKFTW2023 Metaverse embodies a harmonious blend of Hong Kong’s vibrant cultural facets and metaverse technology, portraying a mesmerizing fusion scenery. As a tribute to the host city, traditional and contemporary elements of Hong Kong are intricately interwoven with the futuristic digital attributes of the metaverse.

In this enchanting space, iconic landmarks of Hong Kong come to life through meticulous replication, each intertwined with the metaverse’s tech-centric features. Signature in-game activities housed within these landmarks, alongside an array of metaverse-exclusive NFT rewards, add a layer of engagement and allure. Among the landmarks reborn in the digital realm include Lion Rock, the International Finance Centre, the World Trade Centre, Mong Kok, Victoria Harbour, and etc. Furthermore, the metaverse playfully incorporates a virtual rendition of the traditional Hong Kong folk activity “Bun Scrambling” by introducing a Lucky Bun Mountain, seamlessly integrating Hong Kong’s rich cultural essence into the virtual milieu. This blend not only offers a virtual yet authentic Hong Kong experience but also magnifies the innovative use of technology to celebrate and promote cultural heritage in a contemporary digital landscape.

Player Entertainment & Engagement

The HKFTW 2023 metaverse, while bringing a metaverse experience for the Hong Kong FinTech week, also aimed to provide a fresh wave of entertainment and engagement to both metaverse enthusiasts and those new to web3 and the metaverse concept.

Before the event’s commencement, MUA collaborated with InvestHK and FintechHK to invite Avalanche, Shrapnel, Space Nation, L3E7, Gas Zero, Particle Network, Ultiverse for a series of engaging AMAs focused on themes like “Lowering User Thresholds in Web3 for Mass Adoption,” “Web3 Gaming in Asia: Strategy, Challenges, and Prospects,” and “A Prelude to HKFTW 2023 with InvestHK, Avalanche, and MUA.” These AMAs drew over 2.3k listeners and were available for real-time listening in the FintechHK AMA metaverse, providing a unique dual experience.

Since the launch of the promotional of HKFTW 2023 metaverse, the HKFTW 2023 metaverse has made a significant impact on social media, captivating over 882,000 individuals with participation exceeding 237k. The event boasted an impressive 26.9% conversion rate, and the HKFTW 2023 Metaverse landing page recorded 210k log-ins during the event period. Content related to the HKFTW2023 metaverse posted on TikTok and Instagram achieved remarkable engagement, garnering over 103k views, 17k likes, and 3.3k comments.

At the Hong Kong FinTech Week 2023 main conference, the HKFTW2023 metaverse was warmly embraced by attendees. MUA gave interactive presentations to explain the metaverse gameplay to journalists and provided exclusive gifts to those exploring the metaverse on-site.

During November 2nd and 3rd, the HKFTW2023 metaverse witnessed a total active user count of 25.8k, with an average playtime exceeding 55 minutes per user. Throughout this two-day event, over 3.3k exclusive HKFTW 2023 Metaverse Wearables were minted, adding a unique dimension to the experience.

HKFTW 2023 and Cloudverse
