Chadwick Boseman, mostly known for the star who played Black Panther in the marvel cinematic universe. Died of stage IV Colon cancer on Friday evening roughly around 10 O’clock at the age of 43. May he rest in peace, a true king. Fans were quite worried about Chadwick's dramatic weight loss in the past few months when he posted a video on Instagram and most of the people didn’t know that he even had cancer or not.

Apparently this has been going on since 2016 and his family released the following statement.

“It is with immeasurable grief that we confirm the passing of Chadwick Boseman. Chadwick was diagnosed with stage III colon cancer in 2016 and battled with it these last 4 years as it progressed to stage IV. A true fighter, Chadwick persevered through it all, and brought many of the films you have come to love so much, From Marshall to Da 5 Bloods, August Wilson’s Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom and several more, all were filmed during and between countless surgeries and chemotherapy. It was the honor of his career to bring King T’Challa to life in Black Panther. He died in his home, with his wife and family by his side. The family thanks you for your love and prayers, and asks that you continue to respect their privacy during this difficult time.”

So the absolutely tragic news that we have gotten the world has lost a great man everything about him that I have ever heard has always been positive very soft-spoken very well-spoken very polite an absolute pleasure to be around and the fact that he’s now gone just add to how awful 2020 is. As soon as we think that things might get better something grievous happens.

Chris Evans tweet about Chadwick's passing.

What will happen to the Black Panther Character?

The question now is where can marvel studios go with the beloved character now I’m sure a lot of people didn’t know he was struggling with his health. But the one person I do know probably had some idea that this was all going on would have been Kevin Feige. So I’m sure that there have already been discussions at some point in what do we do just in case we lose Chadwick.

So I’m not sure yet who they can use at this point to replace him. We can’t say for sure if black panther 2 will now go into some kind of a rewrite or how they are going to change the T’Challa character. If they’re going to push it back and kind of re-evaluate what’s going on right now with all of the upcoming projects that are coming down the line black panther 2 was supposed to be one of the most crucial films coming.

It was going to possibly introduce Aurora who is Storm so that ties into the X-Men we heard it was going to maybe possibly introduce Latveria that ties into Dr. Doom which also ties into the fantastic four. A lot of small parts were going to connect in black pather 2. T’Challa is a crucial character, the first black panther was hugely successful looked by the fans and loved by the critics.

So do you replace him? or do you rewrite the story to where that you kill T’Challa early before the second black panther and then somebody else can take the mantle? we’re probably not going to hear anything about it until the end of the year. As you know you still want to have respect for the family right now and what they are going through.

I trust that Kevin Feige and the team at marvel studios had already a conversation beforehand. judging by the circumstances, so it’s a sad day for all marvel studios fans for all marvel fans, dc fans, comic, geeks, nerds alike.

What are your thoughts about this?
