Realme GT Neo 3 Review:

After watching a lot of YouTuber’s good reviews of Realme GT Neo 3 phone. I decided to buy this phone and test myself. This phone gives you all the flagship specifications on a mid-range budget. So, yes that’s the phone you are looking for.

I bought a Nitro Blue GT Neo 3. I tested this phone for almost 2 weeks and from my perspective, it is an amazing phone.

The main highlighting feature in this variant is a 150W Charger which charges your phone up to 100% in just 15–18 minutes. Another really impressive feature of this variant is its 50MP main camera, which showcases a flagship-level Sony IMX766 sensor. It also contains a 5G Chip set with 9 Bands. In-Display Fingerprint Sensor, Face-Unlock, Bluetooth 5.3, Speakers support Dolby atmosphere. The daily life performance of this phone is really impressive Thanks to it’s AMOLED Panel with 120Hz screen that makes the performance of this phone much more better than the others in the same price range. Now, we will move to the detailed review of this phone.

Design Review:

This phone comes in three standard color options Asphalt Black, Sprint White, and Vibrant Nitro Blue. But if someone wants to buy a fancy one, there’s a Naruto Themed special Edition for the fans, that comes in a scroll-shaped container and contains a special themed UI. Another highlighting feature of this mobile is that it’s NFC antenna covers 360˚ around the top of the phone which makes contact-less payments a lot more easier.

As I have mentioned above, I bought a Vibrant Nitro blue Finish GT Neo 3 which is quite eye-catching and contains White Racing Stripes at the back of the phone which is relevant to the word GT. The back of the device is made of curved glass and the finish is soft and smooth to touch. It doesn’t show any Fingerprint smudges. The frame is made of Plastic and overall the phone is pretty easy to handle. It is neither too heavy nor too thick and it weighs around 189g.

The racing stripes at the back of the device are quite controversial and debatable because the people who are productive do not like these types of designs so it’s not their cup of tea, On the other hand, if we talk about gamers and youngsters this design is quite considerable and eye catchy for them.

Display Review:

The device has a 6.7” AMOLED Display with a 1080p Resolution (FHD+), Corning Gorilla Glass 5 Protection, and a fast 120Hz refresh rate. The fast refresh rate acts to make your swiping and scrolling smoother and it has an adaptive refresh rate that reduces the refresh rate of the screen to 60Hz when you are not interacting with the screen in order to save the battery. Realme has gone above and beyond with the Display’s color accuracy as there is 10 bit color depth and support for HDR10 plus.

The brightness of this phone is immersive according to its price range as it can go up to 460 nits in manual mode and it can boost up to around 800nits in outdoor for comfortable viewing. Its bezels are quite small as it has an immersive screen-to-body ratio of 94.2% and it is not a curved screen panel.

Build Quality:

As many of us would think that realme would have compromised on the build quality because of its price but I’m glad that we all were proven wrong because this phone is made up of a polycarbonate frame that is strong enough to handle various crashes and it does not flex under pressure. The rear panel is made up of a mixture of different types of glasses to ensure the top-notch build quality of this device but one of the biggest flaws of this device is that it does not have any IP certifications but Realme claims that all ports are completely sealed and water cannot enter easily.

Performance:

This phone has MediaTek Dimensity 8100 which is indeed an excellent processor for daily usage and for multimedia usage as well. The huge 12GB RAM helps the processor in providing the best performance so that it can easily compete with the higher-end phones and provide the user a buttery smooth experience.

It uses the same cooling solutions as used in it’s more expensive models which are GT 2 and GT 2 pro so there are no unusual heating issues and it remains cool most of the time.

Gaming Performance:

If we talk about the gaming performance of this mobile, Sadly it could not run most of the games on 60fps as the Dimensity 8100 chip was not optimized for the gaming performance but later on as the updates came out this mobile was optimized for its gaming performances and it got way more better than before.

Cameras:

It has a triple camera setup which consists of a 50MP primary lens, a 2MP macro lens, and an 8MP ultrawide lens. The primary lens is a Sony IMX766 and its more expensive version GT 2 pro has the same lens as well but it is not reliable as its pro variants. The con of this camera is that when the camera auto focuses the ISO value is dropped down hence it takes darker photos than the usual lighting conditions but if we take a photo manually and adjust the ISO according to our needs then it will all be okay and in the outdoor conditions the camera will work perfectly and will click vibrant and well-saturated photos.

In terms of Videography, the main camera can shoot video at up to 4K 60fps and the OIS keeps the video stable and smooth. With the front camera, we can shoot at 1080p however, it lacks stabilization.

Battery Life:

There are two variants of Realme GT Neo 3, but its not everywhere.

Ø Realme GT Neo 3 8/128 with 80W superdart charging charging and 5000mAH battery.

Ø Realme GT Neo 3 12/256 with 150W superdart charging and 4500mAH battery.

My review is about the second one which has 150W charging and 4500mAH battery. So I have to say that it is currently the fastest wired charging phone which charges the phone from 0–100% in just 15 minutes. If you enable Rapid Charging it warns that your phone may get a little warmer during charging. But if you disable this feature the phone can still charge up to 80–88% in 15 minutes which is really impressive.

The battery timing is also not bad as it can last up to 10 hours which is not that impressive but still, it is negotiable if we take a look at the price of the mobile.

And for those who are worried about the effects on the battery due to the rapid fast charging, Realme claims that the phone’s battery will still be around 80% even after the 1600 charge cycle which is equivalent to four to five years of charging.

Antutu Benchmark Score:

The Antutu benchmark score of this device is not that good because as I have said above the chipset was not optimized for gaming so the score of the Antutu benchmark was 820696.

Prices in Local Market:

The price of Realme GT Neo 3 widely known as The Nothing Phone costs around NPR 77,999 in the local market of Nepal.

Prices in Online Market:

The price of Realme GT Neo 3 on Amazon in Nepal is NPR 68,967.

Review Conclusion of Realme GT Neo 3:

Considering the price of Realme GT Neo 3 I think that it is a good choice for those who are into some sort of different design and want something unique as we all know that its design is quite an eye catchy but it varies from person to person. If we talk about the performance of this device it is also quite impressive as it has a quite strong chipset paired with a 120Hz refresh rate screen, which gives us a smooth experience. It has WIFI 6, Bluetooth 5.3, Dual 4G VoLTE, and 5G chipset with 9 bands, it is quite a beast device in its price range but in terms of gaming, it lacks performance. It has the same camera as in GT 2 so we can expect the best from the cameras and talking about the 150W rapid charging it makes it a great package so I would definitely recommend it.
