How Interested is superior to Interesting
To be interested is not the same as being interesting. The same applies to other English phrases such as bored and boring, or excited and exciting. Here is a general rule to help you remember the difference:
- When talking about yourself or your feelings, use the –ed ending. “I am interested in music.”
- When talking about others or something outside yourself, use the –ing ending. “That music is interesting.”

The point is that if want to achieve something in your life, you alone cannot do your task and don’t achieve your goal without interacting others or without taking others on-board.Interested things may give you confidence or charm for life to do something. If you decide to create something new things, you first have to develop interest on that things.According to David Ogilvy
“If you want to be interesting,be interested”
Let’s take an example,When we have interview for job or any-kind of fellowship.First thing or question arising in our mind that why we/I want to join this company or this job so first that there is something which attracts me to join this is my Interest towards job.If I specifically have dream to be a part of company then I am interested if others also shows some interest towards same thing then it becomes interesting. One must know that interested is more powerful word than interesting.
Dale Carnegie once said, “You can make more friends in two months by becoming interested in other people than you can in two years by trying to get other people interested in you.” Really getting the distinction between being “Interested vs. Interesting” will make all the difference in your relationships and the results you generate.
In the world of communication, “one size does not fit all” when you are looking to be effective at influencing others and moving relationships forward. Coach Nick Papadopoulos & Dudes of Disruption disrupt the automatic of operating from inwardly focused placed and looking for what’s in it for us — and — instead — bring to light that the fastest way to get everything you want out of life is to be outwardly focused and looking to make a difference for others.

I have noticed while teaching to him that he is good in computer sciences because in that subject he did to cramming the same book but he understood and explain by his own words and he is interested in to learn and drive different kind of softwares. When I used to analyze his complete result card,I’m pleased to say that he got 84% marks in computer and my analysis also comes true that he has much talent in that subject. So,I have suggested him to go for I.CS because this is the field that gives you something and you can utilizes your skills at your field and further it’ll be helpful for you to introduce new technologies or researching about it.I asked him politely that whenever you find any problem you can discuss with me as brother.
