Overcoming Fears: Getting over things
We often listen TIME IS MONEY and i am a strong believer of it. One who waste it gets wasted, the one who burns it gets ashes in the future and the one who makes the most outta it gets rewarded by the nature.
Time management is the key skill whether you are a student opting to achieve some great destiny, a lawyer hopeful to win the case or a developer determined to make a time machines. I repeat you have to manage the time to make time machines.
Unfortunately, most of the people out there define engineering in two words i.e copy and paste. Most of the assignments they get they just google it and copy someone’s efforts and present them as their. Using the use of these unfair means don’t have a long tread.
Being a 3rd year engineering student i consulted to many of my seniors regarding the problems they were facing during interviews. And i got a resonating answer from many of them that we mostly forget our academic things in the interview because they just used to cram them for their exams and later on the forget it.
So, after hearing such comments i eventually decided to review my previously spent three years of engineering in the final year and shared this idea with my fellow mates. Because i like to play in a team so i gathered a group for an iftar dinner at my home and told them the whole scenario. Because i felt that this will also help them in future.
So, i decided that each one of us should pick a different topic and prepare it and then deliver the core concept to the others in the group. In this way we were able to do large amount of work in small time.
The least time for group study was also decided by me through taking opinion of every group member and considering different factors like routine and management of other tasks.
I also gathered all the data of the 6 semesters completed so far and arranged them in an accessible way which was very hard to search upon previously.
I reached out to my theetas friends out there and collected data of all the six semesters so that we may not waste our time afterwards searching the books.
I also tried to gather books i purchased in hard form and compiled them on one single shelf so that they could be easily accessible.
After that group study i also solely revised all the thing we did in these two hours. And the things we have to do in the next session in order to to get a better understanding of things. Here is me learning thermodynamics the most boring of the subjects for me.
Once my teacher told me that if u hate a subject or its concepts are not absorbed by your mind. Try giving it some more time. And here i am doing it. Giving thermodynamics some extra time to grab the concepts.
So, our next step will be to increase our productivity and aware other fellows out there as well in our class and arrange group study sessions at times to meet our required aims.
Because here in this world we are on our own. No one will come and hold our hand to get us to our destiny. Self help is the Real help. We have to push ourselves forward as this world clock stops for none. And before the time crushes you. You have to take your chances.
EDHI SB’s LIFE PART:
Like Edhi sb i also faced many persons out there telling me that you can’t achieve this thing or that thing. These are the people who think that if they couldn’t achieve that goal;others cant.
But impressed with edhi sb i am the sort of person who always think that If anyone can do it I also can do it(rather that why should i do it) and if noone can do it then I have to do it(rather than i also can’t). Great edhi had a dream to serve humanity to do something big. To reach out more people to help more individuals. To set up societies free from radicalism. People used to call him sheikh chilli and discouraged him but he kept going.
Luckily or unluckily i also faced discouragement during my intermediate. Even one of my brothers would used to say, “he can’t make it”. But that things gave me the boost. I got another reason to be succeeding. Because I had to prove them wrong. So i decided to give more and more time to my studies. I had sleepless nights but focused on my goal these sleepless nights were not the big deal.
I kept going and going in silence and in the class of 45 where i was at number 15 at the beginning. I rose up to the number 1 after two years. I faced the people satires and discouragements and used them as my stepping stones to achieve my destiny just like the great abdul sattar edhi.
