Company: Better Cotton Initiative (BCI)

Post: Internee

HR: Muhammad Shuaib

Experience:

Company that I have chosen to apply for, is Multi National Company Named “Better Cotton Initiative” They works for the Betterment of crop production techniques in Pakistan. For this purpose they trains farmers, by conducting meetings, and seminars for large farmers. Moreover they linked them self with Textile Industry who then spin and produce quality product of export quality from provided cotton.

As I am Student of Agriculture. So, I have taken much interest in Cotton production of Pakistan from the very first semester of my Bachelors and I have enough Information about this. So I decided to visit BCI to drop my Resume. As I am not yet graduated so I prepared my Resume accordingly to the post if Internee.

By using my reference of Acquaintance I made my way inside the Building. There then I went to HR office. He was very kind to me. I introduced myself-using the idea of elevator pitch. And then I dropped my resume there. He (HR) after gone through my resume and asked some basic questions. Hopefully I have answered them correctly.

I had used all learnt techniques to impress the HR person and so he seemed happy to know my passion for his company. He appreciated my Courage and passion and promised me to give an opportunity to do internship in his organization next year.

It was a wonderful experience of drooping resume personally. I was not expecting a frank behavior from HR of BCI, but he sounded frank and respectfully and appreciated me which is the best take away from this experience. That’s experience has boosted my Moral, and now I appreciated the Amal Academy step of Going #ExtraMile.
