Eat That Frog with Pomodoro
The Pomodoro Technique is a time management method developed by Francesco Cirillo in the late 1980s. The technique uses a timer to break down work into intervals, traditionally 25 minutes in length, separated by short breaks.

These intervals are named Pomodoro’s, the plural in English of the Italian word Pomodoro (tomato), after the tomato-shaped kitchen timer that Cirillo used as a university student. (Reference for a 1st paragraph: Wikipedia)

Before starting the project I supposed that this activity would be a funny video like I was imagining of eating a frog? I hope no one could but I was confused and excited too for this.

But after watching online course and after going through the topic of procrastination and watching a video about it that how it affects the productivity of a person by Tim Urban in a TEDx talk

I was amazed that it is the same situation that occurs to me when I start doing something. The instant gratification monkey who disturbs every work the Rational decision maker is doing.

He tries o make it as delay as far as it is possible. So finally, when the deadline is at a head then the panic monster become active and then the work gets done. This is the same scenario which is happening to me right now.

The solution to all these ends up of (Aaaaahhhhh) situation which is shown in the figure is a Pomodoro Technique. Its objective was so fascinating that I tried to adopt it for reading a book. Actually, I had started reading a book a Just Start project and I left it as I became distracted as I mentioned in my previous blogs that I am a patient of being distracted from what I am working on.

So, I promised me to complete the 70 pages (3 chapters) of a book by using this Pomodoro. I set up an alarm on my phone and turned every other notification as off.
I sat at a quiet place that is a library and started reading then I took a lap after 25 mins for 5 mins and then again did it and after about 90 mins I was able to read these 3 chapters and I was so excited and joyed that I did it.

In fact, this technique helped me a lot. Unfortunately, I couldn’t used it for Project work but for next time I’ll use this. As I believe that this is the last solution for my problem of doing work at deadline.
