In Person Drop: Going Extra-mile

Extra-mile in an extra effort that we put in except our daily routine efforts. It is, doing something beyond our daily efforts to achieve something bigger. In this fast moving world where everyone is already trying hard to achieve more, this little effort provides with excellence and takes one closer to success. Extra-mile is an important principle of success in all walks of life. Extra-mile is a part on nature’s handiwork as everything on this planet is striving for survival and poses a best example of extra-mile effort.
All the successful people adopted this habit to reach their point in their life. Thomas Edison, A famous scientist, tried more than a thousand times to successfully invent a bulb. Napoleon Hill, in order to gain success, spent most of his life reading the most successful entrepreneurs in American history. This effort also makes us different from others as they say “Go Extra Mile. Its never Crowded”

This is what takes us a step above than others and we achieve more than others. This little extra effort makes us extraordinary and leads us towards perfection in many forms of en-devour. It tends to develop a keen imagination and a skill to always find new ways of becoming more successful and it aids to destroy the habit of procrastination, A greatest cause of failure often times.
Challenge I Faced:
This week I experienced this effort of going extra-mile. I made this effort to submit my resume in order to increase my chances of getting job.
I learned many new things while experiencing this effort like, Introducing yourself using elevator pitch to an employer who is not at all interested in you itself was a great challenge. It takes courage to engage someone in whatever you are telling them and making them believe that you are valuable for them.
I dropped my resume to an Assistant Manager HR named Sultan Ali, who is going to advertise a new position of Trainee Engineer at Ibrahim Fibers. At first he did not accepted my resume and asked me bring this when they ask for but when i tried to convince him by telling him about my experience relevant to his work , he agreed to accept my resume and said that you should apply online or send resume on given HR address. I said, i dropped my CV many times, but Received no response yet. So i decided to have a in person drop and try to achieve extra-mile. He made a smile and said your effort is good. After two days i received a call from HR department a informed me for written test. It was my achievement to convince them by extra-mile. I gave test and waiting for result now, but i remembered the Passenger and send him Thank you email. That experience was pretty good and i learnt a lot with my experience, and realized how important and beneficial is this “Extra-mile”.
This experiences gave me the great insight of all the techniques I had learned at fellowship. All those techniques were really helpful and i got the idea of how i can improve at confidence, How to convey through non verbal, how to convince others and many more.I will prepare even better for my next interview keeping in mind all that I have learned by this experience and I am sure I will succeed after improving myself further in this regard.
