
Interview, A Hard Nut to Crack???
Interview , a worse nightmare for almost every job seeking being human on this planet. Well, every candidate looks confused , terrified and tensed before an interview. why??? Because they don’t have the secret essence for mastering the art of interview.

As no one knows what questions he would be asked by recruiter during interview and how will he respond to those bombarding question within milliseconds. To get the real insight of interview process and to know how our recruiters and interviewers see things in Pakistani market and what they are looking for potential candidates for their organizations, we reached out to Mr Shabbir Hussain , who is working as Human Resource Business Partner with Frito-Lay, Pepsico Pakistan.
Mr Shabbir Hussain is a very positive , kind person who gave us proper time and attention to answer to our queries and provided us with some really useful tips for interview prepration.
Here are the few questions we asked him…….
1: How important it is, to be yourself during an interview?
He replied as “ to be yourself is very important and crucial factor not onlly in interview but in every interaction. Without being yourself , you cant even carry actual communicate with recruiter”
2: How do you identify a candidate being real or fake during an interview?
According to Shabbir sb , he used two models/methods for this purpose . one is * Competency Based interviews” & SPAR Model ( Situation, Problem/task, Action, Results)

3: What should be answer of question asked to a fresh graduate “ What is your expected salary”?
Research about the competitive salary offered by different companies to fresh graduates and can demand average salary offered in market to young graduates.
4: What will be your response if a candidate in person drops resume to you?
He has not recommended this , as bigger companies prefer online applications these days, but this can be feasible in small companies.
5: What kind of questions candidate should ask to the Interviewer at end of interview?
If candidate has a logical ,thoughtful question he must go for it, but avoid aiming illogical questions
6: Tips/Suggestions to master the art of giving interviews?
- Research about job role and company.
- Mention skills and strengths related to job role
- Be professionaal
- Dressed professionally
- Show commitment and be on your time.
- Draft a thank you email to show your gratitude to recruiter.

In short, interview is like a complete exam and we need to be fully prepared for this exam in order to perform extraordinary in interviews.
