Eating a frog with Pomodoro
(technique to boost up your productivity)
If you are overanxious and bothered by the procrastination then there is technique to deal with it. Everyone around you is unkempt of it and trying to deal with it, it makes stressful and has discouraging feeling by completing a work on very last hour or after deadline. Pomodoro technique is here to manage your time and deal with procrastination. Its a simple technique having only 4 steps to be followed by dedication
- Set a timer for your work, in which you have to be completely focused on specific task. Generally, the timer should be of 25 min. Make it sure that the time you are selecting is the most productive time of a day for you.
- Switch off all the interruption so you might not get distracted like log out from the social website, turn off the mobile notifications. Complete the list of things that you are going to need while performing the task.
- Reward your self after successful completion of the task, that reward may be the any kind of snacks, chocolate, web surfing, getting a fresh air outside etc.
- After getting a short break of 2–3 min again start the timer, do the task effectively and keep the process going.

You can also download a pomodoro app to effectively utilize your time. I wasn’t aware of that technique but I have used it in past especially while studying for exams or reading any book. I can remember that the last year I was reading “Bayan Ul Quran” by Dr Israr Ahmed which is the translation and precise explanation of Quran. It has 7 volumes and I was able to complete it in a year. I used to set my mobile on silent, get rid of my laptop and start studying it for an hour or half daily.
Whenever I have to make an assignment or code for the university work, I use this technique and believe me it helps me a lot. I didn’t used to set an alarm for that but now I ‘ll try this one also.
