The little moment of pride, Kindness.

Being kind means that you are considerate towards other. You actually care about people and their feelings who surrounds you and you want to make them feel good and happy. This is a profound quality to have. Because it allows you to connect with people. It allows you to establish an emotional attachment with people and when this happens then people are willing to share their problems, grief. They are willing to share their little moments of joy. When people start sharing their thoughts and their ideas, it means that you have developed a sense of trust. When people start trusting that is the moment when you start building up a leader in you. As we have experienced in leaders like Nelson Mandela. Do you ever wonder why people loved him so much? How he was able to win trust of billions of people around globe? You must give it a thought. But one thing that is obvious is it has something with kindness.
I have strong feeling about this “Kindness” thing and i truly believe in it. History has experienced so many acts of kindness that turned worst enemies into dearest friends and companions. Friendship of Nelson Mandela with Christo Brand (Jailor of Robin Island) is bright example of how you can win trust with kindness. Even most notorious emperor like Temugdin (Chengeis Khan). He spare life of his enemy (Jamukha) in war because Jamukha once helped him in childhood by giving him some milk and food.

In past few days I experienced few things in my life that I believe are most beautiful learnings of my life. Few days ago I met a fellow of mine and he was putting up a scenario before me and I had to give him feedback on it. When I was listening to him, I was appreciating him by nodding and smiling. By the way this way of appreciation I learned at Amal academy. So when I was smiling and in response he was smiling back at me. When I saw that smile rising on his face in response to my smile, it felt so good. This process took my energy to next level. And I could feel positive energy rushing in my veins. And now I was trying to listen him more closely and I was really thinking to provide best possible solution to him. And every time when he smiled back at me, I felt a sense of relief, a sense of peace in me. It helped me to get more relaxed. It was great to think that if will smile then it will make other people feel good, relaxed, and pleasant, and that sense of joy was reflected through his smile. That was a little moment of pride for me.

This beautiful experience revealed 2 things on me. First thing that I learned is that you do not need to do great things in order to make someone feel good. Even a smile can do the trick for you. Even two words like “Thank you” and one word like “Welcome” when incorporated by a beautiful smile can make someone feel happy even in the darkest moments of life. Second beautiful thing that I learned is that the type of energy that you emit and through at someone, by absorbing that energy other person will very likely emit and reflect the same kind of energy toward you and other people. Let just say that you passes by a casual friend and you greet him with a smile saying, Hi Umair! You are looking great. But Umair is really upset due to attitude of his boss and he looks gloomy but due to your smile he smiled back at you. And for a moment he was able to forget all harsh words of his boss and your words will make him feel good. So you are healing that person. Now he will go to home with a positive energy. Definitely he will be upset but somewhere in his heart he will also be feeling good. Now he might not yell at her wife, he might be entering home smiling and less depressed. Your one smile can make a difference. So please spread smiles, spread positive energy, spread the kindness and let it be your moment of pride.
