But I know, a good designers is a disciplined and productive life-long learner. Some people are just lucky and their productivity comes naturally and for people like me (😂) can learn their secrets and discover ourselves to be more productive everyday.

“The best way to make your dreams come true is to wake up” — Unknown

There is a domino effect when you get up early every morning. I won’t sleep too late the day before, I can come to office early, a little workout before working and much more.

Here is what I got when I come to office early (Before daily meeting):

  • Minimum 1 article on medium
  • Minimum 1 chapter on the book I’m reading
  • Start working early, so you can go home early
  • Doing my hobby (running, football and gaming) after office, because I have a lot of time

#2 Set your daily goals

By setting up your daily goals every morning, you will be more focused on what you want to achieve every single day. Without a plan, it leads to more distractions and decrease in productivity.

here are some tips that I often doing when setting up my daily goals:

  • Write down all task you have in your project
  • Sets up your daily priorities as early as possible to make sure you’ll get done your task right away

#3 Stop multi-tasking

“Multi-tasking is the ability to screw everything up simultaneously” — Jeremy Clarkson

I don’t know, but multi-tasking isn’t work for me. When multi-tasking I hope I have a better performance. The reality is I just feel busy and actually get less done. I just make more errors and quality of my work decreases.

I recommend you to read Make Time by Jake Knapp, to guide you focus on what matters everyday.

When you doing something you like, you happy and your brain is relaxed. Your brain is simulated when you are happy, which improve your cognitive alertness and productivity. By definition, hobby bring people pleasure. By having a hobby can help you to live longer.

I continuously doing my hobby. Wednesday for football, thursday night dan sunday morning for running, sometimes saturday for skateboarding and after office hours for gaming 😝

So whatever it is, let yourself enjoy on things that bring the spark. Do something heroic for yourself and let time be your friend by allotting it to something that lets you escape the busy life.
