How Eisenhower Box helped me to manage Time and improve Productivity?
Eisenhower was the 34th President of the United States, serving two terms from 1953 to 1961. Eisenhower Box or Eisenhower Matrix is his most famous productivity strategy and it’s a simple decision-making tool that anyone can use.
Eisenhower’s strategy for taking action and organizing the tasks is simple. Using the decision matrix below, one can separate his actions based on four possibilities.
- Urgent and important (tasks you will do immediately).
- Important, but not urgent (tasks you will schedule to do later).
- Urgent, but not important (tasks you will delegate to someone else).
- Neither urgent nor important (tasks that you will eliminate).
The great thing about this matrix is that it can be used for broad productivity plans and for smaller daily plans.
My experience
I prepared my 3 days Eisenhower Matrix and tried to do my work accordingly. It gave a clear idea of what I am going to do for these three days. I felt a huge difference in my routine than in the past. I tried to eliminate some activities which I used to do for my leisure without knowing that these deplete my time resources. Now I have downloaded the app and I am trying to make it my life partner.
Here is my Eisenhower Matrix.
