Why Being Right is So Addictive
Robert Solley

Self-righteousness is a relationship killer. The feeling that” I am always right“ or “I can do no wrong” repels people and triggers needless conflicts. A happy home and a happy workplace can only flourish in a climate of reciprocity, mutual respect and tolerance of others’ errors, missteps and perceived wrongs. Sanctimoniousness is an avoidable human trait. However, if balanced by flexibility and a sense of balance and moderation, moralizers can fit into the larger society.
