As gameweek 3 comes to a close, the table is starting to shape up. Manchester United remains table toppers with their win against Leicester(2–0) as their winning run continues, thanks to Rashford and Fellaini. Liverpool has risen to the second spot with a tremendous win over Arsenal(4–0). Liverpool were excellent no doubt about that, but it was a below par performance from Arsene Wenger’s men, that made Liverpool look dominant.

Even Sanchez couldn’t rescue Arsenal

Tottenham remains winless at the Wembley this season, despite Delle Ali giving them the lead in the game. The debutant Chris Wood finished of a 92nd minute counter attack to deny Spurs their win at Wembley.

Many had doubts in their mind when Chelsea signed Alvaro Morata for such a large chunk of Money. Morata continues to impress as he scored a header against Everton. Not to mention the goal of Cesc Fabregas. Chelsea continue to climb the table with their 2–0 win over Everton at Stamford Bridge.

Manchester City temporarily led the top flight after a dramatic late 2–1 win at Bournemouth. Eddie Howe’s Cherries impressed early on at Dean Court, and Charlie Daniels deservedly put the hosts ahead 13 minutes in with a stunning half-volley from wide on the left into Ederson’s top left-hand corner.

The bottom of the table is held stronger by both Crystal Palace and West Ham as they suffered defeats in the hands of Swansea (2–0) and Newcastle (3–0) respectively. West Ham continues to disappoint despite their big-name signings such as Hart, Chicharito, Zabaleta and Arnatovic. If this run goes on, Bilic could win the sack before any other manager does.

As for Watford, Marco Silva will be happy to get a point and a clean sheet considering they were playing most of the game with 10 men. Still, Brighton at home would be a match they marked as a win so to just get one point will be disappointing.

Huddersfield held Southampton to a stale mate (0–0) as both team take away 1 point each. The game between West Brom and Stoke ended 1–1.

The results in a nutshell

This is how the table looks as gameweek 3 comes to a close.
