We are excited to announce that we have been included in CB Insight’s “AI 100: The most promising artificial intelligence startups of 2023.” The analyst firm selected 100 privately held companies from a pool of around 9,000 global applicants, based on CB Insights datasets that track R&D activity, business relationships, investor profiles, news sentiment analysis and competitive landscape.

The 100 companies in the list are in three areas: AI Development Tools, Cross-Industry Applications, and Industry-Specific. The Cross-Industry category was the largest in the roundup, with subcategories such as code generation, privacy and security, translation, climate tech and productivity tools. Out of the 39 companies in the Cross-Industry category, only two were mentioned in the Quantum AI Software subcategory: Multiverse Computing and SandboxAQ, a spinoff from Alphabet Inc.

We were recognized for Singularity, a first-of-its-kind software platform that contains quantum and quantum-inspired algorithms.

“Recognition from a respected analyst firm, based on credible datasets rather than subjective opinions, is particularly rewarding to our company,” said Enrique Lizaso Olmos, Multiverse CEO. “Singularity, our flagship product, is already being used successfully by professionals and can be viewed as a superb example of quantum and quantum-inspired algorithms working together with AI to achieve remarkable results.”

Singularity solves real challenges for enterprises across all industries by allowing users to access the power of quantum computing via a simple interface that includes a Microsoft Excel plug-in. The add-in can be accessed in Excel through both Mac and Windows systems and requires no prior quantum computing knowledge.

Singularity is being used in college classes as well. Earlier this year, IESE Business School announced that 100 students in its Master in Management program used the software to demonstrate that quantum solutions can do a better job at solving specific problems than existing classical solutions. Most recently, Université de Sherbrooke announced that students from its Quantum Information Science bachelor’s degree program will have access to Singularity for internal testing and development of quantum computing educational materials.
