This summer has been a busy one here at Multiverse on a variety of fronts, both internally and externally. Here’s a brief recap of recent activities we can share publicly with a glimpse of what’s to come.

Networking at Quantonation

The Quantonation Investor Day in Paris on July 6 was an enlightening event about the groundbreaking achievements of other quantum entrepreneurs and their potential to revolutionize industry, and we were glad to participate as one of the portfolio companies. Professor Alain Aspect, last year’s Nobel Prize winner in Physics, led a roundtable session about the potential of quantum tech and we were able to exchange perspectives with the other portfolio companies.

Members of our team at the event included (pictured above, left to right): Michel Kurek, CEO France Multiverse Computing; Marta Garcia Pedruelo, Chief Financial Officer; Enrique Lizaso Olmos, Co-Founder and CEO; and Román Orús, Co-Founder and Chief Scientific Officer.

Quantonation is the first VC fund dedicated to companies building quantum technologies, including computing, communication, sensing, and deep physics. The fund invests in pre-seed, seed and Series A stages. Quantonation also is a founding member of Le Lab Quantique, an innovation center based in Paris.

Supporting the Osservatorio Digital Innovation on Quantum Computing

We are proud to be official sponsors of the Osservatorio Digital Innovation on Quantum Computing from the School of Management of Politecnico di Milano. The Osservatorio is a prominent think tank in Italy and is aiming to become a resource and place for collaboration within the Italian quantum ecosystem.

Multiverse’s COO Gianni Del Bimbo has actively participated in school-hosted events, as well as delivered comprehensive market reports to students and professors.

The Digital Innovation Observatories of the School of Management of Politecnico di Milano were set up in 1999 to raise awareness of emerging technologies. The Quantum Technologies workgroup at the Osservatorio is focused on exploring quantum technology from both a business and a scientific perspective, including:

  • Identifying quantum computing and quantum communication characteristics
  • Identifying quantum computing technologies and potential solutions
  • Analyzing use cases
  • Examining the evolution of industrial and public research
  • Analyzing competencies and organization models
  • Monitoring the quantum scene in Italy
  • Analyzing how quantum computing can benefit multiple industries

Quantum education, and cooperation among the many quantum companies, is critical as we all move forward, advancing our respective business and technological approaches. We are pleased to be able to lend our support to nurture the expansion of the Italian quantum ecosystem.

Joining PlanQK

We also have joined PlanQK as an associated partner. In this role, we will further explore quantum applications within the quantum community and help develop the growing interest in PlanQK as Europe’s community-powered ecosystem for quantum advancements. Our platform includes an open community featuring a directory of experts and a library of use cases, algorithms, implementations and data pools.

From the beginning, Multiverse has established a notable customer base in industries such as finance, energy, manufacturing, aerospace and defense, and cybersecurity, working closely with leading companies in each sector. As an associated partner of PlanQK, Multiverse aims to further explore quantum applications within the PlanQK community, benefiting from the growing interest in PlanQK as Europe’s pioneering open, community-powered platform and ecosystem for quantum applications.

We are pleased to bring our quantum solutions to the PlanQK community through our partnership with Anaqor, a software-focused quantum startup that wants to provide others with the necessary tools and knowledge to participate in quantum computing

“Our core principle is to enable companies of all sizes to leverage the potential of quantum computing by keeping entry levels as low as possible,” said Anaqor CTO Michael Falkenthal. “With Multiverse, we have the leading European quantum and quantum-inspired software specialist bringing quantum power to our community. That’s a huge opportunity that can positively shape the European future of quantum computing.”

Multiverse Chief Revenue Officer Mehdi Bozzo-Rey said, “Our focus at Multiverse is to provide our customers with immediate value by harnessing the potential of quantum and quantum-inspired methods. Collaborating with PlanQK will play a pivotal role in strengthening our position in the German market as we connect with the significant industrial ecosystem available within their PlanQK community.”

These events and partnerships mark a significant step toward advancing quantum computing capabilities and fostering collaboration among industry experts and researchers. As we continue to develop quantum solutions, we look forward to sharing those insights with these and other partners in the quantum community.
