Ultimate Chicken Horse

Ultimate Chicken Horse is one hell of a game. All in all, you need to get from one side to another while facing obstacles in the way that get picked randomly.

The game is fun to play online or with friends and has a lot of aspects to the game that make it something worth the $5 binge for.

I want to start with controls and get the boring stuff out of the way.

The game is compatible with keyboard or a controller, if you feel like being a scrub for this party pack game. The controls are pretty simple and self-explanatory, so there isn’t much detail to go into with it.

So, when you first enter the game with your friends or with randoms you find through the online play tab, you’ll load into a lobby with the ability to pick “maps”.

Each map has the same end goal: reach the other side aka go from the green flag to the red one. Obviously, since there are different maps, the flag spawns in different areas.

While choosing a map is cool and all, the best part is picking which animal you’re going to be. There’s not much to explain here, but I just wanted to mention the cute art that’s presented in the game.

When you spawn into a map, a box with materials pops up and you and your three other friends/randoms get to pick materials to a timer. If you want the best materials to make the most gruesome course, you have to be quick to grab them and use them to your best ability.

Once picked, you can view throughout the game who has had which obstacle in the inventory section of the game.

Here’s what a black hole trap could do if placed on the map:

When you pick materials, you have a certain amount of time to place them on the map before everyone has to run the course. There will be deaths, but it’s all fun and games, so don’t worry if your friend wants to kill you with a springboard into an arrow.

Hence, this is what your friends could do to you:

The good part about this whole game is winning — duh. The end screen once everyone reaches the end looks something like this:

Winning comes with who can complete the map first, time it took to finish it, how many people you hurt/killed with your traps, or the possibility to not have a winner at all (due to people not being able to finish the map).

The person with the most points after x amount of games — win!

The game is all good fun and creates a love/hate relationship with your friends and/or randoms that you find on the internet.

No amount of deaths, traps, or points can replace the huge amount of laughs that this game produces.
