The Grumpy Squid Project (GSP) started off as a meme token that wanted to introduce Shimmer EVM to Burn/Distribution token functions, however a meme token wasn’t enough. Now GSP is a full on project aiming to keep providing fun games to the IOTA/SMR community, chances to win some great jackpots, while also rewarding holders of our tokens with distributions.
GSP started with launching the SQUID token on Shimmer EVM:

- 100% of tokens went to LP
- No SQUID or SMR allocated to GSP
When launching SQUID token their was no ICO or fairlaunch. This made the starting LP lower than optimal. There was no SQUID or SMR tokens allocated to project as well, which makes for having successful marketing campaigns, high jackpots and gathering development funds a challenge.
However, we have a solution to make GSP better than ever and at the same time bring one of the 1st tokens to IOTA EVM and improve LP for SQUID token.

- 60% of starting supply for sale
- 60% of funds raised goes to INK LP
- 20% of funds raised goes to SQUID LP
- All unsold INK from ICO will be burned
- Remaining 40% of INK tokens from starting supply goes to LP and project (for marketing and jackpots)
- ICO date TBD, will start immediately when IOTA evm is released and last 48 hours
- LP will be started immediately after token sale or when ShimmerSea is ready
- After ICO is complete the project will evaluate and determine a an appropriate amount to airdrop to SQUID holders (this will be conducted via a later snapshot)
Discount Tiers
All SQUID holders will receive a discounted price for the ICO. These discount tiers will be based upon the amount of SQUID users hold during the snapshot. The more SQUID you hold the higher the tier (1–5), the greater the discount. The snapshot will take place randomly during the 1 week period starting March 27th — April 3rd.
- Tier 1 — 20% discount: <5000 SQUID
- Tier 2–25% discount: 5001–10,000 SQUID
- Tier 3–30% discount: 10,001–20,000 SQUID
- Tier 4–35% discount: 20,001–50,000 SQUID
- Tier 5–40% discount: >50,001 SQUID
Our games will all be playable in IOTA, SMR, SQUID and INK. Funds generated from both networks will be used to balance jackpots out on all games on both networks. GSP will continue to develop and begin SMR distributions once the pool is large enough to start.
