Although following a weight loss diet and increasing the amount of exercise you take are important steps towards reaching your goal, they don’t always work on their own.

One of the reasons people want to lose weight is to feel better, both physically and mentally. However, they tend to become discouraged if the pounds aren’t shifting fast enough or if they get stuck at the same weight for a few weeks. Does this sound familiar? There are several different things happening here. When you feel better, it’s much easier to exercise and to say no to chocolate. So if you can find ways to feel better, you’ll find your weight loss diet easier to follow and you’ll take a bit more exercise. And if you are focusing on something else, you are less likely to think of food.

Try it out for a while, and gradually extend the periods of feeling good by doing more things you enjoy. You might be surprised at how much weight loss can be improved by this simple technique.
