Just Call Him Elon “Midas” Musk

Elon Musk has the Midas Touch. That’s said about many people, but it’s usually not the same scope and scale we’re talking about with E. Musk. Nowhere near the same league. He’s ramping up production of the Tesla Model 3 to 500,000 units. That’s a lot more than planned. And he’s reeling in the delivery date as well. I have confidence he’ll make 1/2MM of them. I’m skeptical about getting them out before the deadline, so to speak. People will be patient to an extent, however, and that builds suspense. And E. Musk has some showman in him.
It seems not a day shall pass without some sort of article about him or one of his companies, or something that involves energy, EVs, space travel, or any other futuristic coolness he knows a few things about. And I’m not going to spend my time basically clipping newspaper articles about a hero of mine. Especially since his productivity is something I admire, and doing so would make me look pretty dumb. But I am going to post relevant links to articles that tend to build up. The guy gets a lot of press, for free, so his name is everywhere. And the media can’t write enough good things about him, where not that many years ago, when Tesla was getting off the ground, all the media seemed to be rooting for his failure. Failure isn’t something that stops Elon Musk. He celebrates it Stevie Jobs style: fail early and often. Why else put huge videos of his rockets failing to land correctly for everyone to see? Learn from it, and move on. Get it right the next time. Or the next. Or next. Or until it works. Then optimize.
- Elon’s Plan is a really big deal. Because it’s a really big plan.
- Elon is concerned with Artifical Intelligence destroying mankind. AI vs. Real Idealism.
I wonder if Elon’s parents actually meant to name him “Elton?”
