5 ways to get to peak health
Take care of your body. It’s the only place you have to live – Jim Rohn

Modern life, with its emphasis on information, automation, computerization, and globalization, has made work easier and given us more leisure options, but we now have a whole host of new health problems. Let’s have a look at five simple ways, we can make a shift in our lifestyle & get to peak health.
1. Move
Exercise is defined as any movement that makes your muscles work and requires your body to burn calories. Being active has been shown to have many health benefits, both physically and mentally. It may even help you live longer.
What to do: Move around in nature & get yourself refreshed.
2. Deep rest
Sleep is an important function for many reasons. When you sleep, your brain signals your body to release hormones and compounds that help:
- decrease risk for health conditions
- manage your hunger levels
- maintain your immune system
- retain memory
The healthy amount of sleep for the average adult is around seven to eight hours each night.
What to do: Take 7–8 hours sleep everyday.
3. Peak Nutrition
We’ve all experienced a lethargic feeling after eating too much unhealthy food. When you eat a balanced diet your body receives the fuel it needs to manage your energy level.
The latest research shows that excessive carbs are not good for our health & a major cause of cardiovascular diseases. So, the better approach is to cut carbs & add veggies to your diet along with proteins & fats.
What to do: Eat a lot of veggies daily.
4. Excellent hygiene
Good personal hygiene is one of the most effective ways to protect ourselves and others from many illnesses. Keeping ourselves clean physically, mentally & emotionally will give vitality to our lives.
What to do: Do cleansing of your body, mind & soul.
5. Daily relaxation
Spending time in solitude is something you can bless your soul with, every single day. It will revitalise your mood & give you the energy through out the day.
What to do: Make a habit of spending some time in nature alone.
I believe that the greatest gift you can give your family and the world is a healthy you. And it’s not that difficult, if you try.
