Project 2: Five Randoms Acts of Kindness

1- Answering the email that I avoided

I received an email few weeks before from a stranger who demands to forward my CV to my circle if any job arises. I was ignoring before but I thought it would be a kind act if I will forward his CV whom I know. It will be a Sadiqa-Jaria. I forwarded his CV yesterday and learnt that at least do for which you have not to pay from your pocket. Don’t fear of the outcomes just consider it as a Sawab.

2- Giving a lift-up to an old man

I never give lift to any person. One day I found and old man who ask me for help. I instantly agreed because I thought it would be difficult for him to walk and his destination was not so far. I agreed and dropped him to his nearest point. The old man was so happy that throught his journey with me he was praying for me “Allah apko taraqi day, khush rkhay”. I felt a stream of pride that lucky are those which get prayed by your olders.

3-Fund Raising For Edhi’s project (Kindness for humanity)

Apart from our project- I remained calm and just continued to ask for donations in very polite manner to everyone I met. I didn’t care whatever the response was I had said “Thank You very much for your time” to everyone.

4-Helped an injured man in parking his bike

I found a man struggling to park his bike on parking stand. I helped him parking his bike. It usually took less than a minute and I get praises form the man in doing just a little thing. Sometimes a little things are of huge worth, may be not for the helpers but for the needies. Because the worth of just a little thing can only be feel by those who are unable to that.

5- Helped a man to carry his Room cooler to home

It was late night, I was coming from my cousin’s home. When I reached my home street I found uncle who had to take his room cooler to his home just few steps from where they were but no one was there to help him. I did not ask him anything and just picked up is cooler and took it to their home with the support of himself. The response was amazing “Next time whenever you need me, just give a call beta, I will be there for you”.

6-Giving my friend a hug and pat on his back

I instantly gave my close friend a strong hug and beautiful pat on his shoulder and appreciated him for his efforts in helping others. I said I want to be like you. Please tell me how you do this. He said “Just do whatever you can, it will become a piece of kindness for you and a support for others”. So I learnt helping is also like kindness.
