That’s the rub, isn’t? We spend a lot of time analyzing, going to photo critiques, taking classes — all with the aim of making better photographs only to find ourselves trapped in some sort of world of beautiful convention where imagination is constrained and the soul shackled. Breaking out of that first requires being aware of it — secondly, it requires smashing through. That’s not so easy.
