Sarkanniemi Park in Tampere, Finland’s second largest city, is the city’s main tourist attraction, along with several others. The park receives more than 1.5 million visitors each year. The park also has an observation tower with a 120-meter-high platform, a dolphinarium, a zoo, a planetarium and an aquarium. They are very close to each other in a very beautiful setting.

There are different tickets for different combinations, but due to the Finnish weather, the park is not fully open for several months of the year Sarkanniemi Park is owned by the city of Tampere and opened in 1975 In its early years, the park collaborated with the rival park Linnanmaki Before opening of Sarkanniemi, some of the park’s attractions were even borrowed from Linnanmaki. Cooperation between the two parks ceased in the 1980s.

Sarkanniemi was voted the most popular amusement park in Finland, so if you visit Tampere, this park is a must-see, especially in summer. In winter, all attractions in the park are closed. Only the watchtower and the aquarium can be visited. Both attractions cost 8 euros each.
