24 hours without Mobile Phone

Two days ago, I got a notification warning me that my average phone usage for the last three days was eight hours. This really scared me. Therefore, I decided to see at what time of the day I usually craved to use my phone. Thus, I switched off my phone for 24 hours and recorded all that happened during this time. The following are my findings:
A) It starts with the alarm.
Usually when I pick up my phone to turn off my alarm, I start looking at the notifications that have accumulated over the night. However, on this particular day, I had no alarms to turn off or notifications to skim through, I was able to sleep a little bit more.
B) Early bird pooping is the worst.
I felt bored and uneasy when I went to relieve myself early in the morning. This was because I could not have my early dose of YouTube videos in the bathroom. Consequently, I used way less time to get ready for classes.
C) 24 hours seems like 36 hours.
Throughout the day, time seemed to be plentiful. I got enough time to attend lectures, eat with friends, attend a student union session, read books and complete assignments.
D) Talking to humans is fun!
Depending on people to tell you the way or what time it was, was weird but fun. Having small conversations with people really made me appreciate the social norms of the society.
E) I missed my phone!!
Whenever I encountered a new word, I automatically reached to my phone to google the word, just to realize that I did not have it. I feel so grateful now to have my phone back!
All in all, I believe these 24 hours made me realize my harmful digital patterns and connected me more to the real world.
