Here are several tips on how to maintain peace among your team in difficult situations,

  1. Always be calm

Getting angry in small things and flaring out at other members is not the best way to handle thing, that will only make the situation much worse. Best way to collaborate with the other person is to maintain your inner peace.

When you are calm you can keep the control of any situation in your hand which makes it more flexible to handle.

2. Understand how they feel

Keep in mind that your word is not always correct. you need to consider their perspective in the situation as well. Always put yourself in their shoes and try to imagine how they might feel about the situation.

3. Communicate with the relevant members

You can either be a junior team member who just joined, a senior team member or a leader. whoever you might be whenever you see your colleague is struggling with something try to communicate with them. Communication is the best way to solve issues.

Don’t rush into things, keep in mind that one small decision you take today might lead to bigger problem in the future. Think more than twice before you take an action. Try imaging the future with the action you wish to take. communicate with some senior member who has more experience than you. Remember you are always responsible for how you act.

5. Reach out for higher authority

After trying out every possible solution to the situation it’s time to reach out for the higher authorities. But don’t rush into telling on people even-though you are trying to help because in cooperate world that's not very wise thing to do. Talk to your team lead or any other senior member. Seniors have more experience they been through the same situation as you so they know the best solution for the problem you are facing.

Because people tend to fear at the leader, But if you let them feel like they will come to you. make sure you are flexible with everyone and no one have to be afraid to talk to you.

2. Be aware on individual behavior

If you put little much of attention to each member of your team you will notice how their normal behavior are. When there’s something troubles people it will surely reflects on their daily behavior. and as the team lead if you have knowledge in their normal behavior you will notice if something troubles your team members. Individual behavior tells more than words.

3. Establish trust

Trust is a heavy word. and it’s not easy to gain, specially if you are a leader. people tend to distrust their leaders often. Show your team that they can trust you. stand up for them and stand up with them. Be the leader you wished to have.

Once your team trusts you make sure to keep that trust.

4. Provide the help they seek

It take so much courage to talk to higher authorities. and when they do make it count. don’t let them feel alone. A workplace problem can make one’s daily life so difficult. it can lead to depression and anxiety. once you have the knowledge of the issues your team member is facing provide the help as soon as possible.
