What are the MVC ‘s strengths compared to other blockchains? Why does the team believe creating a new blockchain (MVC) was necessary given all the other existing solutions?

MVC Labs Member: Heshuchao

Hi everyone!! I’m from the MVC’s node development team and have worked as a cryptographic algorithm engineer for over ten years.
In order to host massive web3 applications, a blockchain of the future should meet several conditions.
1. POW
2. Extremely low transaction fees, meanwhile extremely high concurrency
3. Support tens of millions of users but does not depend on layer-2
4. Turing-complete layer-1 smart contracts
5. Optimized DID solution for Web3 applications
So far as I know, no chain can meet all these conditions.
That explains why a new blockchain should and MUST be created.
A few years ago, we got together from several teams and found we could build such a blockchain.
So, we decided to work together to build MVC.
MVC as we see it now has all the features mentioned above and combines the strengths of other public chains.

With these new advanced features of MVC mentioned above, we can embrace the web3 world more simply and creatively.

How was MVC Born and how did the team meet? Can you give us background information on the main team members? what is the size of the team? Are you planning to remain anonymous?

MVC Labs Member: Sunny Fung

Hello all, I am Sunny Fung from MetaID team and ShowPay Team, our teams are based in HongKong.
I want to say first that MVC will be a public chain driven entirely by DAO.
as Heshuchao mentioned, MVC is a public chain built by nearly ten teams from different countries and regions for a long time. You can see now that MVC is a co-work product of dozens of people working together for nearly three years.
In fact, the teams have been engaged in the development of Bitcoin area for years, and we have all known each other for a long time. We all believe the UTXO model is the best high-concurrency solution in the blockchain industry. We realized that the traditional Bitcoin technology needs more smart contracts and DID solutions, and needs to solve the on-chain scalability problem better. We may solve those problems well. For example, a team has focused on Bitcoin smart contracts for many years, and another team is very experienced in DID solutions under the UTXO model. We can complete this puzzle together and build a public chain that can adapt to the future large-scale popularization of Web3 applications.

MVC Labs members are dynamic. There were nine people in the past, and now there are five. These five guys represent five different teams, and each team has its own business and community, our community knows us well. I want to introduce the members of the current MVC Labs briefly.

About the Team

Heshuchao and his team are node development teams. They have rich experience in developing BTC nodes and Polka node. Now they handle the continuous development and research of MVC node.

hqm and his team are the infrastructure dev team, responsible for developing the MVC pool, basic UTXO service, asset bridge, and other underlying infrastructure.

civer and his team handle the research and implementation of layer-1 smart contracts on MVC. That is huge and groundbreaking. MVCSwap is also the work of their team.

And my team and I are responsible for the DID solution on MVC, which is MetaID. And related DID basic services, providing convenience for access to many Web3 applications. And my team also develops many web3 applications on MVC, such as Show3 and MetaName, etc.

The last one is an OG in bitcoin, we can call him Mr. T. But he is not willing to disclose his identity for the time being because of his business, but he has made many beneficial contributions to the MVC ecosystem, and his identity will be open at some appropriate time in the future.

MVC Labs members are responsible for MVC decision-making in the early stage(1P1V),. After the establishment of MVC DAO, MVC Labs members will only be responsible for the control of the private key of the DAO Treasury at the initial stage. All decision-making rights will belong to all SPACE holders.

Again, MVC will be a public chain driven entirely by DAO.

What does MVC Strive to become? What would a successful implementation + adoption path look like to you guys?

MVC Labs Member: hqm

A brief introduction to my team and me. I am hqm from MVC infrastructure team and I was a senior architect in a major world-class exchange. Our team is responsible for basic services like browser/API/mining pool/asset bridge.

And we are based in Tokyo.

Back to the question, We want to build a public chain that is friendly to web3 use cases with turing-complete layer 1 smart contracts, and benefit all human race by blockchain technology.
My thought about the adoption path would be like this: Product comes first
Product (aka the blockchain and applications) and user experience is our first concern.
Our most urgent tasks are building basic infrastructures, such as asset bridges, swap contracts, mining pools, and all kinds of applications.

We also need to build an energetic developer ecosystem, wiki and tutorials are also priorities. We need more intelligent brains to work together.
On the other side, we want to use the power of all ecosystem members to contribute to the project through DAO, which means proof of build. You contribute, you earn.

We also encourage all kinds of positive contributions to the project, including social media marketing, developer guide, exchange listing and using and experiencing the applications built on MVC. Feedbacks are hugely welcome here.

What are the plans for availability on exchanges? How dev preparing for the market launch this month, how much liquidity is at pool DEX, and do you have the plan to list at other exchanges?

MVC Labs Member: civer

Hi. I’m Civer from MVCSwap team and I mainly focus on developing smart contracts in MVC. Also, I have some experience in developing smart contracts in other chains.

The team have been contacted by some exchanges, and some of them are in negotiation.

However, the focus of MVC teams is mainly on the development of the MVC and applications. After the foundation has been laid firmly or we can get more talents to join the DAO of MVC, we will invest more resources in the exchange listing. By the way, the DAO is recruiting people to handle marketing.

The DEX in MVC called MVCSwap is under development and is expected to be launched in the next one or two months. After launching, you can trade tokens in MVC freely. Also, due to the lack of native stablecoins, we need cross-chain bridges to bridge stablecoins on other chains.

As a DEX, the liquidity providers in MVCSwap will get the fees from trades. And MVCSwap will launch some incentives to increase the liquidity of DEX. We will public more details when launching MVCSwap.

Does the team have a DAO treasury? if yes, what is the current runway on treasury funds? What’s the team’s monthly burn rate? Is the $space token a gas token only or will it have more utilities within the MVC Ecosystem? When can we expect to have detailed documentation from the project?

MVC Labs Member: Sunny Fung

Good questions. Most questions are related to DAO. Let me answer them briefly.
Many users are concerned about MVC’s Tokenomics and Treasury. MVC’s Tokenomics is very simple because most of its Tokens will be used by the DAO, so now MVC’s Tokenomics is like this:

This figure clearly illustrates all.
So, the $space token is not only for gas, you can also use it for voting, to decide how the Treasury will be used.
The detailed documentation will be updated on the official website these days.
And we hope that the MVC DAO will be established ASAP, We are writing the MVC DAO Constitution (Soliciting Public Opinion version) now.

I think the MVC DAO Constitution (Soliciting Public Opinion version) will be released this weekend. And we can enter the phrase 2.
And lastly, I would like to post this figure, which tells the relationship between MVC and Bitcoin camps.
