To get hands on with ServiceNow, the developer site https://developer.servicenow.com/ provides a great learning track. It takes us through all the necessary modules to understand the basics of ServiceNow. The documentation provided by ServiceNow covers every detail required to work on it.
**When you begin learning on the Developers website, make sure you choose the right instance. The latest instance is London.

What is REST Message:
The REST API provided in ServiceNow is really easy to use. I personally used the REST API to solve complex business problems. Here’s a link that will get you started on the same.
Async REST Message:
When you are working with REST API Calls, it is suggested to use Async REST Messages to avoid job failures. For example, we can code an automated action in a workflow to interact with a 3rd party service and use Async REST message to avoid waiting for the 3rd party service’s response. As a beginner, I was curious to explore the potential of ServiceNow. While going through hundreds of videos on YouTube, I found this gem. The video below guides you in integrating Google’s DialogFlow with ServiceNow. After watching the video and exploring a little more, I was able to access data in various applications on ServiceNow via a dummy Chatbox provided by DialogFlow.
