How to post to Instagram from your desktop

Instagram’s new mobile web interface lets you post from your desktop when you turn on your browser’s mobile emulator

Instagram has just launched a mobile web version of their platform to encourage use by people who haven’t downloaded their app.

Though not officially supported, you can post to Instagram directly from your desktop using the mobile web version. All you have to do is turn on the “developer tools” for your browser and switch to “mobile view”. If you happen to be on Mac, here’s a graphic showing how to do this in Google Chrome:
